Starting earlier is cheaper. Below are the current fees for private consulting with Arvin Vohra, The Ivy Hacker.

Estimates
Ivy Hacker programs range in scope. On the lower end, you can meet with me to learn the fundamentals and principles of Ivy strategy and then stop. That would involve about 6 one-hour tutoring sessions. On the opposite end, I can help you utterly dominate the competition over a period of years, helping you win prizes and contests along the way, helping write the best English and history papers your school has ever seen, helping you get into prestigious summer programs, and becoming a legend at your school. That process can take a few hundred one-hour sessions.
I have clients at both extremes, but most people fall somewhere in the middle. If you’re looking for what most people think of as Ivy strategy (extracurricular development, essays, interviews, classroom strategy, etc.), it will be about 100 hours of tutoring, spread over a few years. If you only want help with your Common Application Personal Statement, that will be about 25 hours of tutoring. If you want the big version, where you win prizes and scholarships and your parents routinely emailed about how amazing your latest essay or project was, it’s 2-3 meetings a week for 4+ years. You can go farther than that, with some students starting at around age 9 and meeting a few times a week to get the ultimate advantage.
